Wheelchair Accessible Housing
The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) advocates for the needs of people with disabilities and provides services and support, to its members.
Irish Wheelchair Association Best Practice Access Guidelines edition 3, 2014 includes guidance on designing wheelchair accessible housing and lifetime adaptable housing. Wheelchair accessible houses are purpose-designed considering the specific space and access requirements of a person using a wheelchair.

Where a person is a full-time wheelchair user, within the home & within the external environment, the guidance provided by the Irish Wheelchair Association should be consulted and applied.
